The secret Beaume…
“Small streams make big rivers” and the Beaume is living proof of this. Several streams rush down the steep slopes of the forest-covered mountains to feed into this river. Whether for fishing or taking it easy, the whole valley and the gorges offer beautiful sandy or rocky beaches to enjoy swimming and other watery delights to the full.
The wild Drobie
This picturesque river in the Cévennes d’Ardèche runs through deep, wild gorges. Swimming and fishing in the clear waters of the Drobie have to be earned! You have to travel along tiny paths to reach the Grail! But once you approach the riverbed, you’ll discover an unspoilt and often deserted paradise!
The crystal-clear waters of the Thines
Let me set the scene: a river bordered by hundred-year-old chestnut trees, crystal-clear waters… in short, heaven on earth! It’s a real haven of peace where the intoxicating silence may well compel you to come back. Admittedly, the water is cold but refreshing. Those who enjoy fishing can tickle trout in this enchanted landscape.
Taking it easy!
Make the most of the sweet summer days to get a suntan and refresh yourself in the clear waters of the Cévennes d’Ardèche rivers. We have our secret spots but if you take the time to look, you’ll find them! Follow the river and find yourself the ideal picnic spot or just wander along the riverbank.
